New Class of Educational Software for Kids and Adults Delivers Endless Education
Voronez, Russia -- (SBWire) -- 08/25/2011 --CoolEducationalSoftware.com today announces a beta version of Universal Tutor, a whole different class of educational software that downloads educational videos from the Internet server and plays them when the computer enters the idle mode.
"I see this software as a great opportunity to satisfy the passion of many users for self-education," says Alexander Mozgovoy, CEO of Cool Educational Software. "The latest researches show that a regular computer stays in the idle mode for about 40% of the time it is on. Displaying educational information throughout the day is 4-5 times more effective than traditional learning methods at ensuring people remember. It´s what we call incidental learning and our educational software is all about it. Replacing your screensaver, it regularly shows some principle scientific and cultural information in geography, biology, astronomy in a casual way. If the person is constantly exposed to this information, there is no other chance but to absorb it!"
All educational videos are grouped into courses, for example, the Planets of the Solar System course offers eight videos about the Earth and other planets. Every day a new video of the selected course is shown.
A sample video about the Earth presents basic planetary data, such as distance from the Sun, dimensions and information about satellites, atmosphere, temperature and internal composition. There are also some interesting scientific and cultural facts about the Earth, pictures and photos of the planet. Stunning music accompanies the rich visuals to help you become engrossed with the subject.
The educational videos actually are special packs of text, graphics and music and offer a true Full-HD experience while being compact in size. They are stored in the local cache upon download to run quickly and easily.
Once installed, Universal Tutor opens into Settings Dialog that lets you set up the delivery and playback of educational videos. You update the index of videos from the Internet, choose the subject and run the first lesson.
Currently there are three available courses in the database (Planets of The Solar System, The Seven Wonders of The Ancient World and Ancient Egypt, 20 lessons in total), and several more marked as coming soon. The developer promises to add new videos regularly.
The free trial offers the first lessons of each course to give an idea of what to expect from the software. Subscribed users gain access to all courses without limitations. More information, screenshots and trial version available at http://www.cooleducationalsoftware.com
