Gotterdammerung, Possibly the Last Film in Cinemascope, Launches on Kickstarter

Now seeking community support via Kickstarter, Gotterdammerung, a classically animated stop motion film, may be the last film in Cinemascope.

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWire) -- 11/23/2018 --Theo Stefanski studied animation and cinematography at the Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York and has spent his career working with table top animation. His latest project, Gotterdammerung, is a film shot in classical stop motion animation. He is currently seeking support via Kickstarter to bring this project and story to life.

Gotterdammerung follows two tribes of skeletons and their struggle for dominance of the high ground. A story about the haves and have-nots, the turning point occurs through divine intervention or circumstance, enabling the Low Land tribe to make a tool, a weapon, to slay the others.

Aside from the behavioral/philosophical underpinnings, this film incorporates animated action and visual splendor. Using armatures and a miniature set, projected on a sky background, the style mimics that of Ray Harryhausen. The film will be shot with an anamorphic lens from the 1950's.
