Stokesdale Family Care Educates Patients and Local Community Through Website

Stokesdale Family Care now uses its practice website to educate patients and surrounding community about asthma, diabetes, heart disease and other health issues.

Berkeley, CA -- (SBWire) -- 10/31/2011 --Stokesdale Family Care offers practical health information on its website that supports the needs of its patients and members of the Stokesdale community.

Surveys have shown that U.S. adults frequently search online for health information, but are frustrated by the large volume of information they find from questionable sources. A majority of health consumers state that they would prefer to get that information directly from their own doctor. Unfortunately, a majority of physicians report finding it difficult to provide education during an office visit and most medical practice websites lack health information.

Stokesdale Family Care, a primary care practice in Stokesdale, North Carolina, understands the importance of patient education (http://www.vivacare.com) and has taken measure to improve clinical care and patient satisfaction. It now provides its patients with convenient, online access to educational resources on its own practice website.

The medical professionals of Stokesdale Family Care join others who use the “From Your Doctor” service from Vivacare to manage their patient education content.
