Fort Lauderdale, FL -- (SBWire) -- 02/21/2019 --Pan Kids is the largest kids' Brazilian Jiu Jitsu tournament in the world, bringing together the best of the best from around the globe. This year, it took place on February 17th in Long Beach, California at the Walter Pyramid.

This year, American Top Team Fort Lauderdale took home the gold in the Junior 2 yellow belt feather weight division. Jorge "Jorjão" Fernandes won the last fight by submission, beating out 10 kids in his bracket – the 10 best in the world.

Jorge had been preparing for this tournament with his father, Master Junior Fernandes, with two goals – to have fun and perform at the highest level. He not only achieved both goals, but he also won it all.

The entire American Top Team Fort Lauderdale family is so proud of Jorge and we are excited to see what future tournaments have in store, at home and beyond.
