Per capita GDP was estimated at USD 11308.91 whereas purchasing power parity (PPP) based per capita GDP was estimated to be at USD 18524.56.

In 2016, Lebanon government's revenue was LBP 14678.08 billions whereas the expenditure was LBP 21028.08 billions. This resulted Lebanon government's net lending / borrowing negative at LBP 6350 billion in 2016 indicating that enough financial resources were not made available by the government to boost economic growth.

The current account balance for Lebanon was estimated to be negative at USD 8.305 billions for the year 2016 and is expected to decline at a CAGR of 1.26% and reach USD 8.533 by 2022. This negative current account balance indicates the Lebanon is a net borrower from the whole world.
