Keith J. Williams Law Embraces Pennsylvania's New "Clean Slate Law"

Doylestown, PA -- (SBWire) -- 06/18/2019 --In Pennsylvania, state officials announced the passage of PA's new "Clean Slate Law." Under the new law, Pennsylvania residents who have been found guilty of nonviolent misdemeanor criminal offenses can have their records sealed from the public, if they've paid all court fines and have stayed out of legal trouble for ten years.

What this revolutionary legal reform means for residents of the state, who have had trouble with the law in the past, is a second chance at life. Where those individuals previously had difficulty obtaining employment and housing opportunities, now landlords and the vast majority of employers will no longer have access to said sealed records.

As one of the top criminal defense lawyers in Bucks County, Attorney Keith J. Williams, Esq. has committed his career to help clear the names and records of his criminal defense clients in the state, and views this new "Clean Slate Law" as necessary legislation to help restore the lives and futures of his clients who have been impacted by their nonviolent misdemeanor records.

Unlike expunged records, this new PA law does not mean that these newly-sealed criminal records will be omitted altogether. Though certain entities such as law enforcement, court officers, and employers who either use FBI background checks or are required to obtain all criminal records by federal law will have access to these sealed records;, members of the general public will not.

Pennsylvania residents who would like to find out more about the "Clean Slate Law" or to see if they qualify to have their nonviolent misdemeanor records sealed are encouraged to reach out to Bucks County's criminal defense attorney, Keith J. Williams, Esq., by giving his law office a call today at 215-340-1134 or by filling out a contact form through his website for a free and confidential consultation.
