LACFLA Board Members Jami Fosgate and Jeffery Jacobson Receive EUREKA Awards

Marina Del Rey, CA -- (SBWire) -- 07/19/2019 --Collaborative Practice California (CP Cal) is a statewide professional organization comprised of attorneys, mental health professionals and financial specialists dedicated to the use of Collaborative Dispute Resolution Processes and to promote and educate the general public about collaborative divorce, as well as provide a source for couples considering divorce to find trained collaborative professionals to work with.

Each year, CP Calconsiders nominees for their high honor called the 'EUREKA!' award. The award is given to working professionals who demonstrate that they"have made significant contributions and demonstrated an abiding dedication to establishing and sustaining Collaborative Process dispute resolution in California."

This year, two members of the Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association (LACFLA) received 'EUREKA'awards. Jeffery Jacobson, Esq. and Jami Fosgate, Esq. were gracious recipients at the annual conference this past April's CPCal's conference held at the Hilton San Diego Resort in San Diego, Calif. The event took place from April 26 to April 28.

"I am truly honored to be chosen this year for the EUREKA award with Jami [Fosgate]. Many people throughout the state have done so much for the development and growth of collaborative practice in California to make this work possible. To be chosen for this honor with Jami is very meaningful for me." said Jeffery Jacobson, Esq.

Both Jacobson and Fosgate are members of the LACFLA, an organization dedicated to collaborative mediation of divorce and divorce settlements. They are major proponents of collaborative divorce in Los Angeles and across California.

Jacobson is the president-elect of LACFLA and on the Program and Judicial Liaison Committees. Fosgate is a member of the Marketing and Program Committees.

"I am honored and humbled to receive this award and I thank all my colleagues who nominated me. Being a Eureka Award winner inspires me to continue offering my no court services and to encourage couples to divorce differently. Since 2006 I have devoted my practice exclusively to Family Law and, beginning in 2010, I stopped accepting clients for court litigation cases. Instead, I offer services to people who want to cooperate to resolve their disputes using cooperative methods, including the collaborative divorce process, mediation, document preparation and consulting services," said Jami Fosgate, Esq.

LACFLA is an interdisciplinary, open organization committed to the collaborative process of solving family conflict within a non-adversarial way, by educating professionals and providing information to families so they can divorce in a more cost-efficient, peaceful process for themselves and their entire family.

Los Angeles Collaborative Family Law Association is a non-profit 501 (c) 3, non-profit corporation that offers continuous education, as well as support for success with non-adversarial resolutions utilizing the Collaborative Process. We guide and support collaborative practice in LA County and coordinate with international, state, and regional collaborative practice organizations.
