Brandon, MB -- (SBWire) -- 12/03/2019 --QuickBooks' latest condense feature helps reduce a file's overall size while still keeping all data and details intact.

According to Intuit, the updated Condense feature provides an option to remove the audit trail which reduces your file size but leaves all the detailed transactions, unlike the traditional File Condense feature which removes transaction detail and creates a consolidated journal entry for data prior to the selected date. This is also a much faster method that the standard File Condense.

"Although the QuickBooks Condense is a viable and useful tool, condensing data can trigger several errors in the application if the process is not carried out correctly", QuickBooks Repair Pro's Technical Services Manager, John Rocha said.

Some of the main reasons that cause errors with the Condense feature is that the company file is located on some other computer in the network, the company file is damaged or corrupt, or if the QuickBooks company file contains a negative quantity and/or negative inventory.

Errors like "QuickBooks encountered an error and was unable to successfully complete the condense process. Your company file has been restored to its original pre-condensed state", "Not enough storage is available to complete this operation" "error 8007000e" or "Illegal operation error", are common errors and are mostly encountered when one of the following occurs, the company file is damaged or corrupt, the QuickBooks company file contains a negative quantity and/or negative inventory, or if there is insufficient system storage.

QuickBooks Error 80004005, 80004003 indicates a possible damaged QuickBooks file and is usually encountered when condensing a company file in order to archive data to save space or for compressing the company file size.

Rocha recommends rebooting the computer or database server, Verifying and Rebuilding your QuickBooks company file using utility tools, making sure QuickBooks is configured properly and the computer that hosts the data file is working properly as some of the do-it-yourself techniques to get up and running again.
