Banora Point, NSW -- (SBWire) -- 03/19/2012 --Several independent bookstores nationwide, as well as a significant number elsewhere in NSW and at the Gold Coast have closed in 2011. More writers than ever are turning therefore to self-publishing. They enjoy the freedom to be independent from publishers and bookstores as well as being able to publish within their budget.

In todays tight publishing market it is hard for authors to get their books published. Australian publisher are extremely selective in its choice of new titles. But if agents have dissed you in the past, 2012 might be your year to try again!

Since then Cathie Sherwood is working close with Australian schools and educational institutions to share her passion for reading and writing.
