ReMARKable Affairs Dallas Catering Partners With North Texas Food Bank 13th Annual Empty Bowls

Farmers Branch, TX -- (SBWire) -- 03/20/2012 --Chef Mark McDaniel, of Dallas catering http://www.remarkableaffairs.com/ and personal chef service http://www.remarkableaffairs.com/index.php/personal-chef/, ReMARKable Affairs http://www.remarkableaffairs.com/index.php/about, is proud to announce a partnership with North Texas Food Bank (NTFB) for their 13th annual fundraiser event, Empty Bowls http://www.ntfb.org/d_empty_bowls_info.cfm.

Friday, March 9th, from 11:00 a.m. - 1:00 p.m. at the Meyerson Symphony Center, Empty Bowl ticket holders can enjoy soups, breads and desserts from local North Texas restaurants and food purveyors while listening to classical music by Young Strings. And that's not all; attendees can pick out their own handcrafted bowls made by area artisans.

Ticket costs range from $20 no-bowl tickets to $1,500 reserved tables for 10. Regular tickets (bowl included) are $40 at the door and $35 advance online. To get there early, VIP tickets ($100) enable holders to gain early entry at 10:30 a.m.

Chef Mark will be there serving his famous signature Cauliflower Leek Soup with Pancetta Croutons and Truffle Oil Drizzle. Other fine eateries furnishing food include Blue Mesa Grill, Bread Winners Cafe and Bakery, Nick & Sam's, Freebirds World Burrito, Royal Cup Coffee and more.

All proceeds benefit the North Texas Food Bank, a non-profit hunger relief organization distributing food through a network of 1,000 feeding programs in 13 North Texas counties. The NTFB supports the nutritional needs of families, children, and seniors through advocacy, education, and partnering. 94 cents of every dollar donated to NTFB goes directly to hunger relief programs.

Chef Mark's enthusiasm for this just cause hits close to home: "Many people don't know this about me, but as a young child, I grew up hungry.  I've been on the other end of this worthy cause.  We are excited to partner with the NTFB to make a difference right here in our community.  I'm very excited about this event!"
