Torrance, CA -- (SBWire) -- 10/03/2012 --Stryker Orthopedics issued a major recall of the Stryker Rejuvenate hip system this past July. In an official release Stryker has stated that “These risks include the potential for fretting and/or corrosion at or about the modular-neck junction, which may result in adverse local tissue reactions manifesting with pain and/or swelling.” The Recall is voluntary on the behalf of Stryker Orthopedics for the Rejuvenate Hip System. While the Rejuvenate replacement hip is not a metal replacement hip, like the models that more regularly see recall, it does contain metal components that are believed to cause metallosis in some patients.

Implant recall patients must undergo a second surgery to replace a defective or recalled implant and may wish to speak to an attorney regarding their rights and options. Steve Csengeri of Csengeri Law is uniquely qualified to offer insights on this type of recall situation due to his personal experience of living through one.

In 2008 Steve Csengeri filed the first claim challenging Zimmer for damages regarding defective Zimmer Duron Cup. After winning Steve has gone on to represent hundreds of clients who are suffering from defective metal hip stems and hip replacement systems. Csengeri Law has forced medical companies to pay millions of dollars in compensation to clients who have had to have a defective hip replacement or hip component recall. Patients who are undergoing the recall of the Rejuvenate modular hip system are encouraged to call Csengeri law for questions or a consultation regarding their rights regarding the Stryker Rejuvenate Hip System for a free consultation.
