Milwaukee, WI -- (SBWire) -- 06/17/2009 -- VoIP services provider Brevient Communications announced today the launch of two new managed service offerings, remote network monitoring services and VerbalSnap software, a hosted operations and billing management application for VoIP-based businesses.

VerbalSnap is a comprehensive OSS/BSS solution with features such as customer management, a full billing and invoicing system, VoIP rate and route management, a contract generator, agent commission management and real-time reporting. Tapping into their software development background, Brevient originally built VerbalSnap to manage its own VoIP customers by customizing concepts from CRM and billing applications to better fit their unique needs as a VoIP provider.

“We’ve had requests from people wanting to buy VerbalSnap since we began providing customers and agents with access to it. The constant feedback showed us that there was an opportunity to come to market with a distinct product that would truly improve the way a VoIP provider manages their business. Our roots in software and experience in the VoIP industry enabled us to create a very effective application,” said Executive Vice President, Dennis Casey.

Brevient is also introducing Network Monitoring Services (NMS) which provide remote network device monitoring for small businesses and VoIP providers. Brevient will utilize its US-based Network Operations Center (NOC) to monitor equipment such as servers, databases, web applications, routing devices and VoIP equipment. The service features US-based 24x7 attended monitoring, online reporting and custom alerts to a customer’s team members should a system fail.

“Any company with mission-critical network equipment can benefit from our monitoring services. We consider it to be a very cost-effective and proactive ‘insurance policy’, especially for companies like VoIP or software providers who can literally lose thousands of dollars if their network goes down,” said CEO Matthew Lautz.

Both services have generated considerable interest among Brevient’s existing wholesale VoIP customer base. Lautz said that if interest levels continue at a similar rate to the positive initial response he anticipates having to increase Brevient’s Milwaukee NOC and training staff over the next six to twelve months.
