ASKTACHODISC Online Launch

To celebrate the company’s 30th anniversary this year, Tachodisc will be launching an online ‘legislative resource centre’ for the transport industry called http://www.asktachodisc.co.uk in July 2009.

Warrington, Cheshire -- (SBWire) -- 07/20/2009 -- ASK TACHODISC has been designed to provide the industry with a free legislative and information resource. Karen Crispe, Director at Tachodisc says: “Here at Tachodisc we have a wealth of legal expertise and trusted information resources which we would like to share with the industry to mark our 30th anniversary.”

The new website features sections on Drivers’ Hours Law, Working Time and Driver CPC legislation, downloadable guides, plus all the latest information and advice on how to make the transition over to digital. The site will also feature a section where visitors can ASK Tachodisc for expert and independent advice.

“Over the last few years we have seen so many legislative changes, but surprisingly there is no one, free ‘central’ website that enables drivers and operators to access the latest information relating to tachographs and Driver CPC. This, therefore, can make it difficult for many in the industry to keep abreast of all the latest developments, as illustrated by the very fact that 30% of UK truck drivers are breaking drivers’ hours regulations – more than any other offence,” added Karen.

“Also we must not forget that there are still many drivers and operators who have not made the move over to digital yet, so it is important that we as a company continue to offer support and advice through this transition period. For these reasons, we have designed ASK TACHODISC to act as a ‘one-stop’ web resource for all information relating to analogue and digital tachographs and the law.”

With 30 years experience, Tachodisc fully understands the industry and the legislation that surrounds it, so for further guidance and help, ASK TACHODISC http://www.asktachodisc.co.uk
