Raleigh, NC -- (SBWire) -- 11/18/2013 --TheeDesign Studio, a Raleigh-based web design and internet marketing agency, will be participating in WordCamp Raleigh on Saturday, November 23-24, 2013. Although TheeDesign has previously attended WordCamp Raleigh, this will be the first year that a member of our team has been asked to present. Heather Curtis, Associate Marketing Director of TheeDesign, will be speaking this year.

WordCamps discuss everything and anything having to do with WordPress, which is a type of content management system that “powers over 25 million sites on the web.” There are many different ways to be creative with WordPress; therefore, WordCamp has different sessions that break down how to use the platform more efficiently. For example, there are gatherings during the conference to go over advanced functions as well as basic tools.

Although WordCamp originally started in San Francisco in 2006, it has become a powerhouse conference in a short amount of time. As of 2013, there are 207 WordCamps organized in 38 countries. There are three tracks during WordCamp: one for users, one for power users, and one for developers.

As noted previously, Heather Curtis will be speaking on Saturday, November 23rd from 9:15-10:15am; she will be speaking to the “users track,” with her topic being “Teach Me WordPress: How To Train Your Clients.”
