Spell is the smartwatch that connects to iOS 4S+ and Android 4.3+ devices, receives notifications and writes responses.

Cuneo, Italy -- (SBWire) -- 11/20/2013 --Spell™ is a smartwatch project that wants to bring airwriting as a way of enhancing interaction with digital devices. The motion sensing technology embedded in new smartwatches will enable the recognition of fast and light movements, produced with a flick of the wrist by writing letters in the air. With a short training, Spell™ will be able to recognize one’s writing style and let him/her airwrite quick replies to messages, notes, responses to the Smartphone’s digital assistant. Spell™ comes with an open development platform for new applications that lets air writing gestures communicate to Bluetooth 4.0 devices.

The Spell™ team believes that wearable technology is going to change the way we interact with devices, and contributors are essential to create the early adopter platform for radically new ideas.

For Spell™ to become a reality, some important steps are still to be carried out
- Design validation and test
- FCC/CE certifications for Bluetooth 4.0
- Industrial design

Then, it should take less than 5 months since the end of the campaign for Spell™ to get through these steps and become a certified and finished smartwatch.

All contributors will get the opportunity to receive the Early Adopter Indiegogo edition of Spell™, months ahead of the mainstream version.
