They began by looking at some of the best Christmas ornaments that are available this year, which included some of the top annual edition items from the likes of Swarovski, Wallace, Waterford and Reed & Barton, as well as some of the less expensive Christmas-themed ornaments.

They also looked at some of the best fake Christmas trees that are currently available to buy. This included a wide variety of different trees, from basic 3-foot trees that can fit nicely into a corner of a room, all the way up to 6, 9 and 12-foot trees.

Finally they also wanted to look at some of the children's toys that are available in 2013, and with Furbies being one of the top-sellers this year, they focused on stuffed toys and animals in particular.

It was no surprise that Furbies featured heavily in the list of the best stuffed toys for 2013, but there were lots of other products that were recommended highly, including some of the lifelike animals from Melissa & Doug, the Minecraft toys and the Stuffies animals, for example.
