Anthony Amado Speaks About the Influence of Social Media

Bergen County, NJ -- (SBWire) -- 01/13/2014 --Anthony Amado speaks of the importance of having a strong positive social media footprint as a business owner. This holds true on a local and nation wide scale. With baby boomers finally catching on and those of generation Y taking the lead it's social media that ignites direction. By this, Anthony Amado means when a baby boomer searches for a local restaurant it's just that, a simple search for a quick answer. However, generation Y find themselves searching for guidance in life.

Today's generation aka generation Y doesn't rely on billboards or radio advertisement to know where the best place to eat or grab a drink is, they follow the chatter. The chatter is known as trending topics. For example, if someone posts a picture of their dinner at a local restaurant or a picture of a neat alcoholic drink and it sparks many "likes" from social followers then it's most likely creating visual chatter. Some of the hottest social media outlets to generate relevant interest are Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter. But people have to stay ahead of the curve as social media outlets are popping up like new car models.

Take it a step further, generation Y often posts travel photos in fun exotic places. The images often portray a better glimpse into the experience of location. This often prompts more interest to travel there then a travel agency pamphlet.

In conclusion, establishing a strong Google footprint by use of social media content and images helps a brand identity stand out over the competition. Like the typical rat race term of the 80's business owners find themselves racing to be at the top of search engines and rightfully so. Being first in the search engine is parallel to owning the boardwalk and park place for those who remember Monopoly!
