Award-winning Toronto-based vocalist and guitarist Teresa Hart releases her latest recording, I Want Your Fire, and one of these tracks will also be featured on WiFi PR Group’s Indie Anthems Vol. 4.

Las Vegas, NV -- (SBWire) -- 01/13/2014 --Award-winning Toronto-based vocalist and guitarist Teresa Hart opens her heart and soul on each and every one of her records, and her latest recording, I Want Your Fire (2013), shows a new path of soulfulness and spirited awakening that has inspired Hart’s songwriting in this leg of her career. One of these songs will also be featured on WiFi PR Group’s Indie Anthems Vol. 4.

Teresa Hart’s albums have a definite progression and demonstrate her wide range of talent and unbridled mixing and matching of genre norms. For example, her debut album, SpaceGirl (2012) is a blend of rock and pop songs, some faster and more upbeat and others more pensive and subdued. Her next album, LaLaLa (2013), features more of a party-girl vibe and showcases Hart’s party-rocking tunes and propensity for poppy, funky melodies and rhythms. Her latest effort, I Want Your Fire (2013), has soft, mellow tunes like “Don’t You Kiss Me” and fun, uptempo tracks like “I Want Your Fire (Sweet Desire).” Each album puts a fresh face forward for Hart as she continues to expand her horizons and reach deeper into herself for still more and more inspiration.

These albums have come from Hart’s own home studio, where she has spent a great deal of her time writing and recording over the past four years. With a past of rocky relationships, she channels those emotions and pours them into her songs, and the heart-wrenching aspects of some of these emotions have helped her produce some of her most poignant work. She has also turned these past experiences on their heads and begun writing songs about hope, dreams and meeting the right person. Her latest album, I Want Your Fire, is particularly hopeful and rings in Hart’s contentment in her solitude and in the special music-creating niche she has carved for herself over the past few years.

Her vocal style is often compared to that of Blondie, Garbage, Pink and Avril Lavigne. She finds musical inspiration in artists such as Rihanna, Avicii, Jessie K, Tegan and Sara, Nirvana and Jimi Hendrix. Her distinctive voice has a high-pitched, airy sweetness about it that delicately dances over her instrumentals and brings a lightness and effervescence to each of her songs, no matter what the beat or lyrics might be.

Besides turning the heads of her coterie of fans, her music has also earned her a Canadian Independent Music Award. With her latest material, it would come as no surprise if she were to win another one in the near future.

Hart will also have one of her selected tracks featured on Indie Anthems Vol. 4 from WiFi PR Group, an album that is set to be released at SXSW in March 2014.

Hart has performed all across Toronto, including a couple of shows at the Mod Club, and has even made her way into the U.S., having performed at Rocklahoma in Oklahoma, The Phoenix Concert Theatre and the Opera House.

As for future performances, Hart plans to tour beyond her hometown and Canada to promote her new album and attract a new host of fans with her bright, impassioned and accessible music.
