Coral Gables, FL -- (SBWire) -- 01/15/2014 --TransactRx the nation’s leading Vaccine Billing Service announced the launch of its nation-wide Immunization Registry Interface Service (IRIS) for pharmacies. The universal immunization registry interface utilizes the advanced connectivity and data mapping capabilities of the TransactRx Cross Benefit Clearinghouse to assist independent pharmacies and retail chains of any size to submit patient immunization records to any immunization registry across all states.

Any pharmacy management system can submit a standardized set of exported data in a number of formats including CSV to TransactRx IRIS which converts the data into the required HL7 version and submits the data to the appropriate state immunization registry according to the state’s requirements.

In addition to the data conversion and transmission components of the service there are a number of enrollment, testing and certification services also provided to make submission of immunization records as easy as possible for any size pharmacy.

‘As pharmacies engagement in providing medical services to their patient base grows the need to connect to new types of systems using different data standards also grows.’ said Jack Guinan, TransactRx CEO. ’Providing conversion to HL7 based transactions is a natural extension of the capabilities of the TransactRx Cross Benefit Clearinghouse. We are excited to help the pharmacy community participate in this important public health information exchange.
