Richard and Lori Ballen originally began their professional careers as business owners of a Las Vegas catering and Entertainment company. With Lori’s high tech, high touch marketing strategies, and Richard’s master skills in rapport and negotiations, the pair quickly built their special event company to very profitable, multimillion-dollar company.

Over a 10-year span, the entertainment company expanded into a restaurant, banquet hall, full service custom catering kitchen, offices, and a large amount of storage space for the party equipment.

“Honestly, neither one of us had an experience in business or in food and beverage. I’ve been a Las Vegas magician since age 17, and the entertainment side is what I was after. But, based on our entrepreneurial spirit, strong worth ethic, marketing strategies, systems, and standards, it was a natural progression for us to fill the niche.” says Richard Ballen, co-owner of Vision Masters LLC.

Richard and Lori eventually sold the event company in 2004 and spent some time enjoying freedom and family. Eventually though, they found themselves bored and in a dark place. The market crashed, the payments on the sale of their company stopped, and they made bad decisions with their liquid assets.

In 2010, after losing everything, Richard and Lori Ballen joined Keller Williams Realty Las Vegas Summerlin. With zero dollars in their pocket, they knew they had to get busy lead generating and building a database.

“We didn’t even have the $199.00 to bring our license to Keller Williams. It was a very rough time. The funny thing though was when I looked at the Market Center (brokerage office) owner and said, “Give me your biggest office, because we are going to grow fast. It’s the only way we work”.

Richard and Lori did just that. In the first year, they made their first hires and started building. Lori generated so much business online that her team threw up their hands and yelled, “Stop”.

Now, 3 years later, Richard and Lori and their team The Ballen Group have closed over 300 transactions with 87% of that business generated through Lori’s online marketing efforts.

In January 2013, Lori wrote her book Secrets of Success in Business and in Life, Dominating the Internet with Purpose, Passion and a Plan. She also created an educational software system called The Ballen Method.
