Battle Creek, MI -- (SBWire) -- 01/23/2014 --Tracy Falbe creates her art with words and will be showcasing her nine fantasy novels at the AlmaCon artist alley. Opening Friday evening February 7th at Alma College, the Anime and Gaming convention offers Mid Michigan residents entertainment through the whole weekend.

Falbe grew up in Mount Pleasant a town 20 miles north of Alma and its liberal arts college. Alma has long been famous for its Highland Festival, which Falbe attended for fun during her teenage years. She looks forward to revisiting the Alma College campus and introducing her novels to AlmaCon attendees.

“I write big epic series with lots of characters and magic. I think some Anime fans will appreciate my fiction,” Falbe said.

She further explained, “My recent experience at a comic convention in Grand Rapids was very positive. Events like these attract crowds that people label geeky, so there will definitely be some fantasy fans for me to talk to.”

“Of course geeky to me is just normal good taste,” she added.

In 1997 she began writing her first novel Union of Renegades and has been writing ever since. To train herself for a writing career she earned a journalism degree in 2000 from California State University, Chico. She published her ninth novel Werelord Thal: A Renaissance Werewolf Tale just last November.

At AlmaCon she will have paperbacks and select hardcovers on display. She will sign the books she sells. Titles available at her table are:

Union of Renegades: The Rys Chronicles Book I
The Goddess Queen: The Rys Chronicles Book II
Judgment Rising: The Rys Chronicles Book III
The Borderlands of Power: The Rys Chronicles Book IV
Rys Rising: Book I
Savage Storm: Rys Rising Book II
New Religion: Rys Rising Book III
Love Lost: Rys Rising Book IV
Werelord Thal: A Renaissance Werewolf Tale

She describes her fantasy fiction as stories of ambitious heroes and warring empires. Readers around the world have praised her novels in reviews at online retailers. Fan feedback at her website includes reader statements such as “I cannot put your books down once I've started.” and “I really did love your RYS books! I've read them twice!”

In addition to the artist alley and dealer booths AlmaCon offers a weekend packed with activities. There will be anime viewing rooms, a video game room, a board game room, a tabletop role-playing game room, charity auction, masquerade ball, and numerous panel guests.
