The Morphable Man a TRANSMEDIA Feature Film: Filmmaker Launches Indiegogo Campaign

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWire) -- 03/12/2014 --At Come Sesos, a Mexico City-based film and animation studio, Director Jonathan Yaber is excited to launch an Indiegogo campaign to finance a new project, The Morphable Man A TRANSMEDIA feature film. The film is a romantic comedy that tells the story of Adio, a man trying to hide a strange and unique emotionally driven condition: one that makes him transform into any kind of objects – from LEGO pieces to barbed wire.

Adio meets Sophie after leaving his home when it is demolished, and as he is transformed by love, he loses control of his emotions, and of his transformations. As his celebrity grows from his uniqueness, Sophie helps him to accept who he is and the challenges he faces, thanks to his condition.

“We want to bring character-driven VFX to the late coming of age/romantic comedy genre, giving a new vision to the typical love stories through low budget production with high quality images, VFX and storytelling,” said Yaber. But the film is just the beginning. Yaber has a vision of what he calls a TRANSMEDIA project – the launch of a YouTube channel for El Hombre Deformable, a movie web site and accounts on Twitter, Facebook and Reddit, where visitors can, through the eyes of two nosy tourists, view Adio’s countless transformations – from bubbles to even a human disco ball.

“This project is a way to expand the Morphable Man story universe and build a bigger audience before the film premieres on major film festival circuits and in cinemas,” Yaber said.

To do that, Yaber has launched an Indiegogo campaign to raise $300,000. As part of it, Yaber offers incentives at several levels. For example, those who donate $10 will receive stickers depicting the transformations of the morphable man and a digital pack with a poster, wallpaper and more stickers; at $60, donors receive a PDF format script as the movie is released on the festival circuit, a signed film poster and a digital copy of the film; for those who donate $1,000 or more, there are incentives like work as an extra on the film, having a part on the design team, even a speaking role in the film. For a $10,000 donation, an individual will be named a non-creative executive producer and will have tickets to premieres, open access to the movie set and will receive VIP treatment.
