World's First Multi-Brokerage Investment Network Nvestly Now Releasing Invites to Private Beta

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWire) -- 03/18/2014 --Nvestly, the social investment network that allows users to share real portfolio information with friends, announced today via their Twitter account that they’ve started releasing invites to their private beta.

Nvestly is the first platform that allows investors to securely share real portfolio information from their existing brokerage accounts without revealing how much was invested. Users have the power to decide whether or not they wish to share information with the larger investment community or with just a select group of followers. Nvestly uses a 256-bit “bank-level” encryption system to securely pull information directly from brokerages, an approach similar to that of well-known financial analytics companies Mint, SigFig and Personal Capital. The Company currently supports investment accounts from TD Ameritrade, Charles Schwab and Scottrade, making it the world’s first cross-brokerage investment network.

Sharing one’s trades on Nvestly is both simple and secure. The Company uses bank-level security best practices to auto-detect when actual trades are made. Users can choose which trades to post, revealing the stock ticker, price and date of each trade. The creators of Nvestly found that people are eager to share investment information with friends as long as they don’t reveal how much is being invested.

Part of the genius behind Nvestly is that it can serve as an instant way to verify the track record of public market investors. As Nvestly CEO Otávio Dalarossa described it, “We’ve heard from many users that they are tired of hearing people brag about trades they made without any proof. Nvestly lets you put your money where your mouth is.” Users who wish to showcase their track record can leverage their Nvestly profile much like an “investment resume,” displaying their real investment track record as a LinkedIn user would their professional experience. Users can compare their investment performance to one another and top investors are ranked daily on a leaderboard.

Nvestly’s focus on design and user experience has resulted in a beautiful, clean interface that makes the site easy to navigate. “Investing today is daunting, overwhelming. We really wanted to show that investing can be both simple and highly intuitive,” explained Lead UX Designer Chea Thaing. Nvestly currently only allows their users to share information about investment performance and trades, but the company is also in the process of letting people share their current holdings. Nvestly is currently the first and only social investment network that allows users to share real portfolio and trading information from multiple brokerages. Interested users can request an invite on the Nvestly website.
