An article about Jeffrey Arsenault, Boston University Athletic Director Council member, alumnus and hedge fund professional congratulating wrestler Nestor Taffur, a senior at the university, for becoming the first BU Terrier to advance to the national quarterfinals held last March 20 at the 2014 NCAA Championships at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

Manhattan, NY -- (SBWire) -- 04/02/2014 --Boston University alumnus and hedge fund professional Jeffrey Arsenault lauded wrestler Nestor Taffur, a senior at the university, for becoming the first BU Terrier, in four years, to advance to the national quarterfinals held last Thursday (March 20) at the 2014 NCAA Championships at the Chesapeake Energy Arena in Oklahoma City.

In order to qualify, sixth-seeded Taffur faced off with 11th-seeded Taylor Walsh of Indiana. Taffur initially faced a 9-6 deficit heading into the third period of his second-round bout versus Walsh but he secured a takedown with 45 seconds left to get within one and then let Walsh go before adding another takedown to make it a 10-10 affair. Taffur did not settle for overtime and pinned Walsh on his back at the 6:58 mark.

Wealth manager and hedge fund talent Jeffrey Arsenault, who is a member of the university’s Athletic Director’s Council and Dean’s Advisory Board, expressed his pleasure and pride at Taffur’s advancement. The last Terrier to make a quarterfinal appearance was Fred Santaite in 2010 and the only BU grappler to ever advance to the NCAA semi-finals was Earl Walker back in 1994.
