Publisher Reveals Long-Term Involvement with Micro-Lender Kiva

Louisville, KY -- (SBWire) -- 08/04/2014 --Publisher Books, Authors, and Artists (BAA) recently announced their support of Kiva, a micro-lender working with people, mostly in third-world countries, looking to work their way out of poverty.

Kiva is a non-profit organization helping people secure financing when they might struggle to get a loan from a traditional lender. BAA has been working with Kiva over the last two years. During this time, they have helped four families by lending, and then re-lending, just $25 (USD).

Kef Hollenbach, owner of BAA, says, “$25.00 (USD) is a small sum to some people. However, for many, it could make a real difference to their businesses. It could help pull a family from poverty.

Just as our authors have a message woven throughout their works, we have a message we believe in and want to share: nothing is impossible when you have someone helping you along the way. And we have chosen to be among those “someone’s” through Kiva.”

BAA continues to work with Kiva and plans to help many more people improve their lives. BAA has established a Kiva Team for authors and artists. More information about the publisher’s involvement with Kiva, and the BAA Kiva Team link, may be found on the publisher’s Facebook page:  https://www.facebook.com/BooksAuthorsAndArtists
