Suwanee, GA -- (SBWire) -- 08/06/2014 --Mr. David Van Sant of Van Sant Law, LLC will be recognized as the texting and driving awareness sponsor at the August Concert and Wing Festival on August 16, 2014 at Suwannee Town Center Park. The annual community concert will team up with a wing festival, and attendees will have the opportunity to hear a free show performed by well-known alternative rock band Everclear.

The evening’s festivities will include a celebrity wing-eating contest, and attendees will be asked to vote on their favorite wings from among the vendors at the event. Attendees are urged to bring picnic blankets, chairs, and wipes for their hands but are not allowed to bring alcohol into Town Center Park. Wine and beer will be available for purchase from licensed Town Center merchants and concert vendors.

The event will begin at Town Center Park at 5:30 p.m. when the first of three opening bands will take the stage. Everclear is expected to perform around 8:30 p.m. The band was named Billboard’s Modern Rock Band of the Year in 1998 with hits such as “Santa Monica,” “Father of Mine,” and “Wonderful.”
