Victoria's Secret arrived in Playa del Carmen to bring its exclusive lingerie and beauty products. Other new entrants since 2012 include H&M, Forever 21, Express, Suite Blanco and The Gap.
Competitive Landscape:
Whilst it faced increased competition from the arrival of many other international brands to Mexico, the GBO Inditex, Industria de Diseno Textil remained the leading company in womenswear during 2013, accounting for a 12% retail value share. It was followed by GBO's C&A Mode and Levi Strauss & Co with 4% value shares each. Inditex continued with its expansion plans with the most recent brand that arrived to Mexican market, Stradivarius, and continues to see success with all of its brands such as Zara, Bershka, Pull & Bear, Massimo Dutti and Uterque.
