Matawan, NJ -- (SBWire) -- 08/15/2014 --This project is about building an institute called The Sun's Harvest in the South of Ghana, near the coast. The Sun's Harvest is based on permaculture principles, offering accommodations, programs and workshops for the local community and international guests.

Ghana, as one of the most developed countries in West Africa, is filled with vibrating potential and people with great willingness to learn about sustainable designs, how to make them a reality and ways to fulfill basic needs in more efficient ways.

Julia Liebisch Peschl and team will invite teachers and lecturers of all backgrounds to come and teach short and long term workshops across a large spectrum of topics that fall into the areas of sustainability, education and art. The workshops will be for groups of children or adults and the participants will include locals and people from all corners of the world who want to expand their knowledge in areas that can make a difference.

The objectives of this project are:

- To offer education
- To inspire people to take personal responsibility
- To teach and spread sustainable agricultural methods
- To make a difference in the climate crisis
- To preserve biodiversity and protect nature
- To build a network of sustainable schools and institutes
- To help international development and provide security to all
- To reforest degraded landscapes and create habitat for wildlife

This crowdfunding campaign will provide financing support for the team’s green building project with Compressed Earth Bricks. They will build housing, a center for workshops and a small library for reading and philosophy. With successful funding, they can set up a compressed earth brick machine, start building straight away, offer jobs and support the local government by strengthening the economy and learning about a stable income and therefore being able to provide for families so children can be sent to school.

The funding goal for this project is €10,000.
