Turnkey Legacy Planner Business for Estate and Financial Planners

Serving unmet needs of Baby Boomers and their parents, estate and financial planners can now expand their services in a meaningful and profitable way by offering legacy planning services. LegacyStories.org has produced an online Certified Legacy Planner training package that provides a turnkey legacy consulting business.

New York, NY -- (SBWire) -- 09/03/2014 --LegacyStories.org, an authorized member benefit provider for the National Association of Estate Planners & Councils, has introduced an online Certified Legacy Planner (CLP) training course for Estate and Financial Planners. The course broadens the menu of services that Estate and Financial Planners can provide to meet the needs of baby boomers, their children and their parents.

CLPs guide individuals and families through the process of building a legacy portfolio of recorded memories, important documents, artifacts and life lessons to benefit their heirs.

The results of the 2012 Allianz Pulse Survey revealed a severely under-served branch of legacy wealth planning for baby boomers and their elders.

While 86% of baby boomers and 74% of elders valued family stories, life lessons and values, just 9% prioritized financial inheritance. Personal possessions also received a higher priority at 64% and 58% for baby boomers and elders.

Dennis Stack, Co-founder of LegacyStories.org weighs in on the problem: “The reason that people are not making provisions for their legacy is because they’re unaware of what can and should be done. To compound the problem, there’s a shortage of qualified experts to put a legacy plan in place.”

Tom Cormier, President and CEO of LegacyStories.org says estate planning professionals are uniquely positioned as trusted advisers to offer legacy services. He expresses his enthusiasm for the training program that will equip them for their role in meeting these needs.

“A well-constructed legacy portfolio increases in value with each generation and strengthens the bond between the client, his or her family, and the legacy planner," says Cormier. "Our training program ensures that libraries of legacy assets – that would otherwise be lost – will be rescued through the services offered by estate and financial planners.”

The Certified Legacy Planner course contains eleven modules and an optional support package. It’s available to Estate and Financial Planners on the Legacy Stories website. The training includes a turnkey consulting business with legacy planning elements, forms, and a full suite of marketing collateral, videos and proven community outreach strategies.

"Estate planners often lose contact with their clients except for periodic reviews or when the client dies," says Stack. "Our legacy plans encourage frequent billable sessions over a sustained period of time, maintaining a meaningful contact and inter-generational bond with clients."
