About Kathleen Kendall-Tackett
Dr. Kendall-Tackett, who bills herself as a combination “Author, editor, publisher, speaker, and science chick,” is a health psychologist, an International Board Certified Lactation Consultant, and the owner and Editor-in-Chief of Praeclarus Press, which focuses on women’s health issues.

A Fellow of the American Psychological Association in both the Divisions of Health and Trauma Psychology, Dr. Kendall-Tackett is the author of more than 320 journal articles, book chapters and other publications. She has also author and/or edited 22 books in the fields of trauma, women’s health, depression, and breastfeeding.

Among her published works are The Well-Ordered Office and The Well-Ordered Home, both of which draw upon her experience as an organizer and practicing psychologist to discern sources of procrastination and distraction and provide legitimate, effective strategies for overcoming such issues with confidence and grace. Since publishing these volumes, she has regularly heard from readers who enjoy greater peace of mind and have saved time, money, and aggravation.

Dr. Kendall-Tackett is Editor-in-Chief of Clinical Lactation magazine; is a founding officer of the American Psychological Association’s Division of Trauma Psychology; and is currently President-Elect of that organization.

She has also won several awards, including the Outstanding Research Study Award from the American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children, and was named Distinguished Alumna, College of Behavioral and Social Sciences, California State University, Chico. She received the 2011 John Kennell and Marshall Klaus Award for Excellence in Research from DONA International, as well as the Community Faculty Award from the Department of Pediatrics, Texas Tech University School of Medicine.
