Red Giant Union on a Mission to Reduce Cost of Production

Beijing, China -- (SBWire) -- 10/24/2014 --Organic food sales have grown nearly 10.2% in the last year making the total organic food revenue of the US a whopping $31.3 million dollars. Yet consumers who would prefer to buy organic often are forced into choices based on dollar bottom lines and budgets due to the higher costs of foods produced and grown organically. One Indiana team of college students from Purdue University, Red Giant Union, is hoping to change that for the better by investing in developing one or more efficient, low cost, aeroponic and hydroponic greenhouses for sustainable production of 100% organic food at cheaper prices in West Lafayette, IN to serve the Purdue University community.

First Lady Michelle Obama has made it her cause to get school children to eat better changing school lunches into a healthier plate. Parents work with their children at home to instill healthier eating habits and food choices so they grow up to be healthier young men and women. Unfortunately, with the high cost of campus living and college tuition, university students are forced into making cheap, unhealthful food choices out of budgetary concerns. This is not fair and goes against all the hard work of their parents and the First Lady. Red Giant Union has a mission to invest in Organic Agriculture and Engineering Methods in order to reduce the cost of organic food production over all easing purse strings for both students and organic food producers and farmers.
