Boston, MA -- (SBWire) -- 10/27/2014 --Smoking cigars in South Africa continues to be a social trend which is practiced only occasionally. Moreover, cigar consumption among South African consumers continues to be perceived as a luxury and a sign of status and wealth, with consumption predominantly confined to high LSM groups and wealthy consumers. When compared with Western countries, South Africans continue to have a weak cigar smoking culture and per capita consumption. Driven by the need for convenient and high-quality products which complement their busy, work-driven lifestyles, young aspiring middle-income black consumers are increasingly being drawn to smoking cigars, which are offered at various stylish cigar lounges, bars, lavish hotels and tobacco specialist stores.
