This is Live TV is a new broadcasting concept born out of the frustration of the lack of coverage of Cycling, and other smaller sports, on mainstream TV. They are now looking to grow the business to cover more sports for more people.

London, UK -- (SBWire) -- 10/27/2014 --It is no secret that sporting events show on the main TV channels largely consists of Football, Rugby and Cricket. This causes frustration for the fans of other smaller sports who are often unable to watch the live events on their TV. One sports fan who has decided to take action is Joby Ingram-Dodd, a film maker and former professional cyclist.

When asked what sporting events This is Live TV will show, Joby said "Using my contacts in the cycling world I was able to secure an initial series of races at the Olympic Velodrome in London to launch the channel from. These are scheduled to start on 24th January 2015 and will become the launch pad for the sports arm of the channel which will show a constant output of live sport." He added "We are currently in discussions with the Polo Association and the British Mountaineering Council to broadcast Polo and Climbing competitions."

As well as showing live sport and archiving these events so they can be watch on demand through http://www.thisislivetv.com, they also have other plans for their channel. Joby explained " The second string to our bow is broadcasting live theatre, which has been trialled with great success. We have partnered with a number of renowned theatre producers to broadcast upcoming events from the UK and West End. We are really keen to develop our offering based on what the viewers wants, be it a concert, product launch or debate."

Although this concept may be new, This is Live TV is part of the larger organization Space Dive Productions Ltd who have produced a large amount of material for their clients who include BBC and Sky. This is Live TV are looking for funding of £25,000+ in order to buy the equipment needed to make screening these events possible as well as creating an app so that viewers can watch on the go.
