Coty was the leading player in fragrances with a value share of 13% in 2013. This was thanks to its diverse portfolio of many prestigious international brands ranging from Calvin Klein and Guess to Davidoff. Besides premium fragrances, the company also established its position in mass fragrances with its adidas brand. An extensive distribution system was another reason for the success of Coty Inc in the country. Coty fragrance brands were favoured by various retailers including supermarkets, hypermarkets and beauty specialist retailers as a result of the strong brand image of its brand among Vietnamese consumers.
