The City’s Most Talented Music Teachers Provide Free Guitar Lessons To All Austin Residents

Austin, TX -- (SBWire) -- 11/12/2014 --On Saturday, November 15th, 2014, the Strum Music School will open its doors to Austinites of all ages to provide FREE guitar lessons in honor of this year’s first annual “Free Guitar Lesson Day”. The event will feature guitar lessons for every skill level and age in personalized small groups from 12:00PM to 3:0PM on Saturday, November 15th at their principal location on 3316 Bee Caves Rd.

Organized by Strum Music School in partnership with SocialCo, Guitar Center, myFit Foods, and Oatmega Bar “Free Guitar Lesson Day” will feature FREE small group guitar lessons from some of Austin’s most talented and passionate music teachers, free food, brand new electric guitar giveaway, and other amazing raffle prizes throughout the day.

Strum Music School created “Free Guitar Lesson Day” as a way to give back to the Austin community through a common ground - music. Though the city is bursting with a general appreciation for music, the need for music education has never been greater. By creating an event full of free music education and activities, Strum Music School hopes to give all Austinites the chance to experience music education at its best and foster a love for creating music.

The founders of Strum Music School believe full-heartedly in the benefits one can reap through music. Gaining music knowledge and mastering an instrument requires self-discipline, hard work, time management, and various other crucial life skills. Strum Music School hopes to share a glimpse of these benefits with patrons of the event and thus encourage them to include music in their lives in the future.

To ensure the event could be enjoyed by all, Strum Music School created two lesson options

guaranteed to satisfy everyone from the beginner to the more advanced. Event patrons can choose from a “Jump Start” beginner lesson or a more advanced lesson entitled “How To Write A Song With Basic Chord Knowledge” (requires some basic guitar knowledge and skill but is still suitable for beginners). Both options are meant for all ages and patrons will be grouped accordingly upon registration.
