Palmer Trinity School Honors American War Veterans

Palmetto Bay, FL -- (SBWire) -- 11/18/2014 --In commemoration of Veterans Day, Palmer Trinity School welcomed special guest speaker and Afghanistan War Veteran Cedric King, United States Army First Class. Mr. King told the harrowing story of how he lost both legs to an explosive device while on duty. Despite a tough recovery, King worked extremely hard to return to normal and even completed the Boston Marathon with two prosthetic legs. He stressed to the PTS Community the importance of appreciating the gift of life.

Members of the PTS Community were also honored including: Mr. John Griffin, Lieutenant Commander United States Navy, Mr. William Stanard, Lieutenant (JG) United States Naval Reserve, The Right Reverend Calvin O. Schofield, Retired Navy and Naval Reserves, and Charles Cassini, Sergeant United States Army. At the conclusion of the assembly, PTS students lined up for the chance to thank and shake the hand of a true American hero.
