Hit by heavy flooding due to heavy rainfall, Michelle O’Neill reassured residents and local communities in Newry that engineers have been working hard to mitigate risk to homes and businesses. Rainfall has been the heaviest that the area has seen in some time and problems have been attributed to its persistent and heavy nature, allowing no time for infrastructure to recover.
