Cranston, RI -- (SBWire) -- 12/09/2014 --This holiday season, the Bottaro Law Firm is partnering with the non-profit organization Toys for Tots in order to help hundreds of less fortunate children across the state experience the joy of Christmas. The Rhode Island injury attorneys will collect unwrapped children's gifts at their main office in Cranston until December 11, 2014. In addition, the firm itself and its staff members will be donating their own gifts to the cause throughout early December.

"Participating in the Toys for Tots program is the highlight of our office's holiday season," said founding attorney Mike Bottaro. "We are thrilled to be working together, both with our staff and with the local community, to help Santa cross a few items off needy kids' wish lists this year."

The Law Firm Toys for Tots Drop-Off Event Details

Where: Garden City Shopping Center, 100 Midway Road, Suite 15, Cranston, RI 02920

When: Drop off presents any time before December 11, 2014, during regular business hours.

What: Toys for Tots accepts a wide range of unwrapped gifts for children ages 0-16 as well as monetary donations. While the organization does field general gift requests from kids and their families, it does not request specific types of toy donations from the public. Realistic-looking toy weapons and gifts containing food items are not accepted.

Why: For the past 75 years, Toys for Tots has been dedicated to "delivering, through a new toy at Christmas, a message of hope to less fortunate youngsters that will assist them into becoming responsible, productive, patriotic citizens."

After the toys are collected at the Bottaro Law Firm, they will be taken to the Providence, Rhode Island, Toys for Tots warehouse for organization and distribution.

Toys for Tots is a charity program run by the United States Marine Corps. Founded in 1947, the organization's mission is to distribute holiday gifts to economically disadvantaged children around the nation. Each year, around 25,000 Marines, Marine Corps League members, veteran Marines, and volunteers are involved in the campaign. Millions of children across the country receive gifts each year, either through direct toy donations by the public or through presents purchased by Toys for Tots with monetary donations.
