Uberhealth Introduces Carebuddy in Punjab, India

Delhi, India -- (SBWire) -- 01/13/2015 --Uberhealth for Families (Uberhealth.co) – India's leading provider of quality healthcare services for the elderly has launched Care Buddy in Jalandhar and Ludhiana in Punjab. Carebuddy is a trained elderly caregiver who would look after the healthcare needs of senior citizens living independently and feeling vulnerable about their health and wellbeing.

Uberhealth as a brand is tailor-made for Indians living and working abroad. Their families, especially their aged parents whom they have left behind in India, often lack a support network they can depend upon to come to their assistance for their daily healthcare requirements.

According to Ishan Jha, CEO and co-founder of Uberhealth, the concept of Care Buddy emerged as we realised that primary need of NRIs is not so much a fancy hospital based 'packaged healthcare deal' for their parents, but a dependable helping hand that enables them to monitor the health and wellbeing of their parents on a regular basis, and take treatment decisions as when required.

Elderly caregivers in India, even at a conceptual level is quite new thing, but NRIs are used to it, as they see their neighbours utilizing the services of trained elderly caregivers care for their aged parents at home. This is wonderful alternative which enables adult children with demanding jobs ensure the health and happiness of their elderly parents without having to breach the subject of old age home.

About Care Buddy
Care Buddy as a concept came into being after much deliberation on part of the founding members. "We conducted a series of interviews involving the elderly, their NRI children, doctors etc. and found that the biggest problem the elderly face is the lack of a support system – relatives and friends who live close by to help them manage their daily healthcare routine. In most cases, while relatives and friends can provide the elderly with company and emotional support, they (being aged themselves) aren't able to do much in terms of physical support."

By introducing in-person at home elderly caretaker Care Buddy services in Jalandhar and Ludhiana in Punjab, Uberhealth would be able to cover a large radius in terms of geography. Currently, its in-person services are available only in Delhi and NCR. Ajay Pal Singh, CTO of Uberhealth says, "Given the huge number of young people from Punjab settled (or working abroad), extending our services to these two cities was an absolute no-brainer".

As an added bonus, Uberhealth is even offering its first month of Care Buddy Services premium completely free to all new signups. The company hopes that with this excellent incentive, it would be able to attract scores of new clients across these two cities.
