Surfside Gets a New Look and Travel Campaign to Help Build Its Visibility

Known as Miami’s Branding Company, Jacober Creative has created a new look and travel campaign that will be known as “Simply Surfside.” It’s aim is to build the visibility of the city located between Miami and Bal Harbor.

Miami Beach, FL -- (SBWire) -- 01/16/2015 --Constructed around a straightforward yet fun graphic identity, "Simply Surfside" is a campaign that consists of a new town logo, new town signage, banners, tourist website, videos and print ads. The city of Surfside was often overlooked by tourists and locals because of the two other cities it is sandwiched between. Surfside was in need of a way to gain more attention and showcase all the hidden treasures it has to offer, from dining, hotels, beaches, and a relaxed environment that is a welcome alternative to its high impact, high profile neighbors.

The intent of this campaign is to say something simple about the unique and inviting elements of the town. The team at Jacober did this by creating a catch phrase that people will find memorable. "Simply Surfside" was the umbrella concept, with additional slogans branching off from there: "Simply Delicious," "Simply Special," "Simply Effortless," and "Simply a Great Getaway."

"It's easy to sell well-known communities or cities like Miami Beach, Coral Gables or Miami. They're all riding on strong reputations built over many years," said Paul Jacober, owner of Jacober Creative. "Surfside's charm and sense of tradition had to be handled with care and shared in a unique manner, one which I think we did successfully,"

The project is selectively being unveiled throughout the 2015 spring season, with a big kick-off scheduled for June. "A strong graphic approach that mixes beautiful photography, taken by our full time designer and Art Director, Adriana Mazariegos, and strong typography are really helping drive the visceral direction of the campaign," says Daniel Peralta, Director of Business Development at Jacober Creative.

The website component of the project plays an equally important role in the "Simply Surfside" campaign. The site was given a bright and easy-to-use makeover with more content as well as cosmetic upgrades to showcase the town's true personality.

Jacober Creative also created a graphic style guide to supplement the campaign which is intended help the town use the imagery cohesively, and in an effort to implement the campaign across diverse mediums. "From the initial consultation to the actual campaign layout Jacober Creative was able to create the perfect campaign for Surfside. Their creative vision has helped differentiate Surfside's events, community, and overall identity into something that competes with national campaigns" says Duncan Tavares, Tourist Bureau Director of Surfside. "They listened, researched, understood, and executed a final product that is more than simply beautiful...it's simply perfect."
