Zombie Mike is a dark comedy about Mike, a man who always wanted to do something great, who finally gets his chance when he wakes up as a zombie. Joe Cook, screenwriter, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to fund filming of this script.

Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWire) -- 02/10/2015 --Zombie Mike is a screenplay that features the dark comedy of Joe Cook, zombie film enthusiast.  The story is that of Mike, a man who gets his chance at greatness by leading zombies to victory over humans.  With the tagline, "Now that he's dead . . . he's really living," Zombie Mike promises to be an instant favorite with fans of horror, comedy and the zombie genre everywhere.  Now, Joe Cook as begun a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the filming of this extraordinary screenplay.

With the talents of Nick Santonastasso, the man who pranked Norman Reedus, in the role of Griz, Zombie Mike will be filmed on location in Hollywood.  With a 20-day production schedule, timing is crucial in filming this movie, and the funds raised by Kickstarter will help to pay for all the expenses of cast, crew, makeup and props.

Those who donate earn a free chance to read the first 15 pages of the Zombie Mike script, a Finalist at the Bare Bones Film Festival for Best Screenplay and winner of the Audience Choice Award Best Table Read.  Pledges of $5 or more receive access to the product diary, allowing them to follow production of the film in June 2015.  Those who pledge $25 or more will receive a digital download of Zombie Mike in full HD 1080p resolution with extra features not available to the public, a sneak peak at the film, information on zombie makeup techniques, a digital copy of the script and the Zombie Mike theme song as well as access to the product diary in June 2015.  Those who pledge $30 will receive the same prize but with a Blu-Ray version of the DVD.

Those who pledge $40 will receive all of these prizes plus a signed Blu-Ray DVD, while a $70 pledge will include a poster signed by the director.  At the $200 level, donors will receive a 20-second clip of Zombie Mike or another cast member reading a script written by the donor, and at the $400 level donors receive acknowledgment in the film's credits.

At the $500 and above level, donors have a chance to participate in the movie itself as extras in various roles, as co-producers or even as a regular cast member.
