5th Annual Joint Conference on Juvenile Justice on Saturday, April 11

NASA Astronaut along with former U.S. Presidential Cabinet Member

Hermitage, TN -- (SBWire) -- 03/11/2015 --On Saturday, April 11, 2015 the Montgomery County Disproportionate Minority Contact (DMC) Task Force in partnership with the Tennessee Commission on Children and Youth and the MerryInGOD Foundation will sponsor the 5th Annual Joint Conference on Juvenile Justice at the Morgan University Center on the campus of Austin Peay State University, Clarksville, TN from 8:30 am – 4:30 pm.

The conference target audience includes students (middle school thru high school and college), parents, religious leaders, social workers, psychologist, educators, judges, lawyers, law enforcement officers, officers of the court, concerned citizens, community activists, administrators, and others who are interested in the issues that confront our youth.

Former United States Attorney General, and current Dean of Belmont University's School of Law, Judge Alberto Gonzales will give a presentation at the Opening Session at this year's conference.

Presentations will include the following timely topics: Gang Awareness, Cyberbullying, Bullying, Suicide Prevention, Dress for Success, Setting Goals to Obtain Your Dream, the Juvenile Justice System, Your Constitutional Rights: What to Do If the Police Stops You and more!

This year's luncheon keynote speaker will be NASA Astronaut Dr. Robert Satcher, Jr., who is a physician, chemical engineer and has the distinction of being the first orthopedic surgeon in space.

The conference includes a luncheon. Both are free to each of the juveniles who attend.(Pre-Registration is required).
