Chris Ortega, creator of Read@Night, a children's book light designed to promote reading, has launched a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the production and marketing of this unique device.

Green Valley, AZ -- (SBWire) -- 03/12/2015 --Read@Night is a unique book light designed to encourage children to read.  This children's book light will inspire children to love reading and will help combat illiteracy.  Founder and creator Chris Ortega is the author of a children's book series entitled My Unique Friends the Obiis.  Now, Ortega has launched a Kickstarter campaign at https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/397986057/readnight-a-childrens-book-light-to-promote-readin to raise funds for the promotion and production of this children's reading lamp.

According to Ortega, "My inspiration for starting this company is how reading has impacted my personal life over the years. When I was a little boy I struggled in reading and coming from Ecuador made it even more difficult. I want to make parents, grand-parents and other family members aware of how important reading is...that is why I created Read@Night, a children's book light. This new children's book light is meant to bring the enjoyment of reading to every child who wants or loves to read. This will keep children motivated to read and at the same time reunite with families to get them to read together."

Read@Night includes a detachable book mark and is patented.  Designed for children, this book light is fun, innovative and unique, including special animated characters and fantasy objects to inspire children to read.  Children from four to eight years old will enjoy playing with the book light separately from the bookmark, as well.  Families will enjoy sharing reading with their children with this unique light.
