London, UK -- (SBWire) -- 03/27/2015 --London-based recruitment to recruitment company GSR2R has responded to the new that Britain has moved up the European unemployment table, surpassing Luxembourg and Denmark.

According to new statistics released by Eurostat, Britain now has the third-lowest unemployment rate in Europe, overtaking the Netherlands, Malta, Luxembourg, the Czech Republic and Denmark.

The substantial climb in rankings to 3rd place from 8th place follows substantial economic recovery, with unemployment plummeting from 7.2% to 5.6% from November 2013-2014.

As it stands now, there are only two countries with better employment figures than Britain – Germany and Austria, with 4.7% and 4.8% unemployment respectively – which some didn't see coming, as the dip in unemployment is the sharpest recorded in developed countries.

However, many in the UK say they're not surprises by the figures. One such company, GSR2R, say that the signs have been there for a while.
