Youth Film Development Project Presents African Mela 2015

The event is a celebration of shopping, entertainment and empowerment for all youth who attend.

Durban, KwaZulu-Natal -- (SBWire) -- 04/10/2015 --One of the largest youth festivals in South Africa is coming to the Durban Exhibition Centre (ICC), and promises to be a lively event for all who attend. The event, African Mela 2015, will feature shopping, entertainment and empowerment sessions featuring top South African celebrities. African Mela 2015 is presented by Youth Film Development Project, a group that's dedicated to improving the South African film industry through job development and creating opportunities. For two days, May 16 and May 17, 2015 African Mela 2015 will be a celebration of Youth Film Development Project's mission.

African Mela 2015 will be a world-class event featuring top-class sound and lighting that will hold the audience's attention from start to finish, with one event highlight the Finals of Star Search, a South Africa talent search held on May 17 at 3:00 P.M. Also a notable event at African Mela 2015 is the Queen of Hearts modeling and beauty pageant held on May 16 at 8:00 P.M. One winner will be crowned Queen of Hearts and will receive a trip to Hollywood, California.

Youth Film Development Project believes in empowering the country's youth and is pleased to offer a series of "Secret to Success" sessions which will empower youth from universities to come together and learn from successful and esteemed leaders of South Africa. These sessions will take place on May 16 at 3:00 P.M. and May 17 at 12:oo P.M. All events are at the address below, and tickets are free but limited. African Mela 2015 begins at 3:00 P.M. on May 16.
