On February 27th 2015, When in Need Foundation, in collaboration with the Clinton Foundation and the Friends of Rockaway, participated in a community event by helping to rebuild a home that was damaged by Hurricane Sandy in Rockaway's New York City.

In line with the When In Need mission of supporting individuals with autism and other disabilities, Ms. Chetachi Ecton, CEO of When In Need Foundation and Mr. George Onuorah, Media Director, attended the AANE Asperger Autism Network Fundraiser on March 18th at the Village Pourhouse NYC. AANE works with individuals, families, and professionals to help people with Asperger Syndrome and similar autism spectrum profiles build meaningful lives.

Recently, When in Need Foundation visited Orfanato Niños de Cristo in the Dominican Republic, which cares for over 160 female children who have been abandoned and are victims of abuse. Household items, food, and supplies were donated during the visit.

As When In Need Foundation's CEO explored the orphanage, a beautiful three-year-old girl's infectious smile caught her attention. The CEO learned that Angelina and her sister, Angelica, had been abandoned with no documentation. Orfanato Niños de Cristo came to their rescue offering them a new home in 2013. An obvious bond of friendship was quickly established, as they played and laughed together and were both inseparable during the visit. When In Need will now sponsor Angelina's upkeep that will cover her food, clothing and shelter and continue to play a supporting role in her future.

When In Need's Port-Harcourt Rivers State Nigeria team continued the foundation's "Mission of Mercy" initiative by donating food items, diapers, supplies and household goods at Saviour's Orphanage (Land of Blessings) in Nigeria, which put smiles on the faces of the children this Easter season. The foundation also paid for the successful surgery of a two year old boy who had been diagnosed with hemorrhoids.
