Vision Three Sixty Completes Construction for Collaborative Space Company Catalyst

New Orlando project completed by Vision Three Sixty

Winter Garden, FL -- (SBWire) -- 04/16/2015 --Vision Three Sixty is pleased to announce the completion of the Catalyst project. Catalyst, a coworking space in Downtown Orlando, provides space for up to 100 workers. The coworking space is located on the fifth floor of the One South Orange building at 1 S. Orange Ave. Catalyst currently has a five year lease on the space. The working space is a unique fusion of modern and historical. The design intent focused on saving as many of the original buildings attributes as possible, such as the original brick walls and windows and exposed piping. Additionally, the team was able to save a large percentage of the spaces mechanical system and leave them exposed to further accentuate the age of the building.

Curtis Yoder, CEO of Vision Three Sixty, noted, "Working on projects that respect our buildings histories gives us a sense of pride. It would be simple to demolish and make everything look new, but it takes people that care to complete a project of this type and we are proud to have been a part of it."

The space, roughly 7,000 square feet, had previously been used for storage for many years, allowing time to capture many of the buildings original elements as they were. Vision Three Sixty thus had to restore nearly every part of the building to some degree to ensure it was current with building codes at the state, local, and federal level. The building was originally designed in 1913 by architect Murry S. King as a four-story department store and is still known as the Yowell-Duckworth building. Over the years, the building was expanded to include a fifth floor, but the business survived into the 1960s.

Tom Cregan, Vision Three Sixty's President, says, "The hardest aspect of the project was the reuse of much of the existing equipment, as well as the integration of modern spiral ductwork and upgrading the existing to work in tandem. Upgrading of the entire electrical system was required from the point of service to the finished wall outlets."

Catalyst offers several different membership plans that include use of the office space, storage lockers, communal tables, coffee bar and lounge, as well as individual office spaces and conference rooms.
