Los Angeles, CA -- (SBWire) -- 05/11/2015 --Aquarium, a short film created by Director/Benmio McCrea, Producer/Natasha McCrea, and Writer/Actor J.D. Phillips will be featured in the Short Film Corner at the 2015 the Cannes International Film Festival held in Cannes, France.

Aquarium began as a family project and developed into a film with a compelling message about the struggle to find certainty in an unpredictable world. Completed in 8 short weeks the story follows two characters who despite their hope, of spending a lifetime together, are forced to say goodbye.

The Short Film Corner is organized by the Festival de Cannes and is the essential rendez-vous for filmmakers. Since 2004, short film producers and directors have chosen the Short Film Corner as the place to present their films, make meetings reality and take decisive steps for their future careers.

The 68th Festival de Cannes will be held on May 13-24, 2015 with more than 30,000 attendees, including high-profile industry executives and celebrities, at its 150 selective screenings, galas and film market.

Aquarium has been featured at Slamdance in Park City, Utah, earlier this year. In addition to Cannes the filmmakers plan to present the film at a number of other film festivals in 2015 throughout the US and abroad.

J.D. Phillips is a 2014 graduate of Carnegie Mellon University. He is the writer and star of Aquarium. He has been seen on Fox's Glee, ABC Family's Pretty Little Liars and most recently online as the new "Best Buy Guy".
