Abingdon, VA -- (SBWire) -- 05/14/2015 --Residents of Bergen County New Jersey did their spring cleaning on time this year as 2989 people came to drop off their Household Hazardous Waste at the collection event held at the Bergen County Community College on April 26th, 2015. Officials at Bergen County conducted a marketing campaign and their advertising translated to a record turnout of citizens looking to properly dispose of their Household Hazardous Waste. Despite the unexpected turnout, MXI Maumee Express, Inc. successfully handled all the materials taken and managed to get the necessary supplies to the site to complete the job on time.

"I was a little worried in the beginning because the volume of paint coming in was unprecedented for this site, this time of year," said Marc Kodrowski, the Project Manager and Director of Household Hazardous Waste Collections for MXI. "But we plan on the unexpected. Our backend support team always has guys on call in the event we need to call in the cavalry. All I needed to make was one call and the supplies were there before the event even ended."

After 1pm, the MXI Inc. field crew began hand stacking paint onto pallets over ground covering. MXI's operations team delivered two additional 30 yard roll offs for latex paint and a 53 foot trailer full of additional drums and cubic yard boxes at 2pm. All the excess material were loaded before the end of the job at 3pm.

"I'm very happy with the job today," said Rich Baroch, the Household Hazardous Waste Events Coordinator for the Bergen County Utilities Authority. "MXI did a great job responding to the challenge without missing a beat. The wait time was kept down by the hard work of the crew and, despite the large volume, we still got offsite at a reasonable time."
