The interview centered on Bearden and Logan's ProMat 2015 presentation titled, "The Building Blocks for Achieving Same-Day Order Fulfillment."

Logan explained the factors involved in advancing need for same-day delivery, "A lot of it comes from customer expectations. We are seeing more and more customers wanting to get their goods on the same day they order them. A lot of it has to do with where they live, some places used this kind of service, such as bigger cities. Other factors include social media which is most prevalent among millennials. Millennials tend to be impatient and that is driving same-day delivery as well. Another factor includes technical advances which increase the ability to fulfil same-day orders."

Bearden, part owner of Bastian Solutions has served as principal design engineering and project manager on many highly successful projects including; Monoprice, Amway, iHerb, and multiple projects with Boeing Commercial Airplanes. Logan has over 25 years of experience in engineering, systems, and operations. After graduating from Purdue University, Logan started his career as an industrial engineer and quickly moved into management. He has had roles as a distribution system manager, operations manager, director of engineering, director of distribution, and vice president of distribution for several leading companies.
